MoJo Monday Locking Hearts

Happy New Year!! As I welcome in a new year, I'm trying to make some new stampin/card making goals. I would love to play in more challenges, but sometimes my life just doesn't allow it. This week I have had more time so I'm trying to get a few done. This is Julee Tilmans Mojo Monday Challenge #67 and I'm sure most of you know what that is. If not, you need to check it out! MoJo Monday now has it's own blog with a Design Team. How cool is that? I'm super excited about that!

Now this card is a little different than what I usually come up with. I guess that is why they call it a challenge. You can't see in the picture what I did to the hearts so I will explain. I really need to get a light box with some of the X-mas money I got. I stamped the bigger heart in Real Red and cut out the middle. I then used a piece of contact paper under it with the sticky side facing up. I then put DD glitter into the sticker portion. I cut a slit into the contact paper and then slipped in the other heart. So it makes it look as if the hearts are locked together. I used some red chalk to outline the background of the hearts. I have to give credit where credit is due on this one. I learned the contact paper and glitter technique from my up line when I was a SU demo.
Next week I will be posting 1 of my Guest Design Team projects from Creative Cuts and More.
Have a happy stamping next 3 days!!
