Paying it Forward

Happy Monday!
Hope everyone had a fab weekend.
Today I have a non DT project for you.
If you remember from my CHA pictures, I got to meet and room with Katie Cotton. She is the owner of Paper Makeup Stamps. I got a little suprise one night at dinner, I received a Moody Girl stamp from her. Since she was so kind to pass out her stamps I thought I would Pay it Forward and make a card out of it. It's only fair right!
THANKS KATIE!!!
It totally makes sense that she has a line called Moody Girl since her companies initials spell PMS! I love it and it cracks me up every time I think about it! Guess what, now your going to think about the initials too =) I had a great time coloring in this image. I know coffee is suppose to be brown but my creative process wanted it to be pink.

Thanks for popping in!
Now jump on over The Paper Makeup store and check out all the fun images Katie has for ya!

Bugaboo Dog Days of Summer Theme Challenge

It's the 4th weekend of month and you know what that means, another Bugaboo Challenge. Please prepare for a long post.
This week we thought it would be fun to have a Dog Days of Summer theme and neutral color challenge. Now I know you are looking at my card and saying you don't have neutral colors here, well your right. I made a mistake. I didn't write the whole challenge down and when I was working on this card my computer was on strike so I had no way to go back and look it up.
This week we have a Sponsor for this challenge....Stamping Dragon Design. This means if you win the challenge, not only will you receive images from Bugaboo but also Stamping Dragon. How fun it that!
Now remember, you don't have to use Dogs on your card, any animal will do.
I had a lot of fun making this card! I hope you can see just how sparkly I made those water bubbles with Stickles. I just adds some fun to the image!
If you need some inspiration, jump on over to the Bug Blog to see the creations of the DT.

We also thought it would be fun to put up lazy pictures of our dogs or CATS in my case. Here is our little one Patch! He is a Seal Point Siamese. Don't ask me how my husband got this picture because normally Patch doesn't lay like this, I promise! When he isn't laying around sleeping he has very pretty light blue eyes that everyone oohs and ahhhhs over. Since we don't have children, this is our baby literally. Matt calls him a mama's boy because I love to spoil him!

Thanks for following my long post!

Bugaboo Tutuorial- Pinwheel

Welcome to my Bugaboo Pinwheel Tutorial!

Today I'm going to show you how to make a Pinwheel!
I learned how to make these at the Ippity booth at CHA.
Once you learn how to create a pinwheel, it is easy to change the sizes of it.

SUPPLIES: Designer Paper (double sided is best), Ruler, Pencil, Piercing Tool and Mat, Scissors, Brad.

STEP ONE: Mark your paper at the width and length of 1 1/4" x 1 1/4".

STEP TWO: Draw lines across your paper with the ruler to make a square.

STEP THREE: Cut square out.

STEP FOUR: Use your rule and draw an X on the back of your square.

STEP FIVE: Cut 1/4" up the lines you just drew. DO NOT cut all the way through to the middle of the X!

STEP SIX: Pierce a hole in the middle of the X.

STEP SEVEN: Pierce a hole on each one of the small triangles. DO NOT pierce it too close to the edge or your when you go to put your brad in, it will tear through the paper. Ask me how I know this information =) Make sure you pierce the tool all the way through the hole.
Now erase your pencil lines.

STEP EIGHT: Start folding each little triangle toward the middle. Put your brad into the small holes on each side of the triangles. Do this for each hole. Then put the brad through the middle hole. It may take some fiddling to get it into the middle hole.

Finished product! Isn't this a fun little embellishment to add to any card or scrapbook page?

Here is the finished card one more time.
Thanks for joining me on my tutorial journey.

Bugaboo ABaC

Welcome to Bugaboo's Anything But a Card Day!
I really like doing ABaC projects. Somedays I'm just in the mood to create something other than a card. Can anyone relate to this? Don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE making cards, but I need varity from time to time. It helps me shake things up.
I was going to put some cute little items into this tin for a "Get Well" gift, but I didn't have what I was looking for at home. Since this is a Bandaid tin, I could have put bandaids in it but where is the fun in that? I really wanted to put a soup packet in here and some Oster Crackers, but none of those items could be found at my home =) Other thoughts: tea, hot chocolate, Asprin or any candy items this person may love. The ideas are endless. The picture below is of the top of the tin. I didn't want to necessarily use Get Well for the sentiment, so I went with Thinking of You as to create a varity of uses for the tin.
You will want to check out the Bugaboo Blog to see what the other DT members did for their ABaC projects.
Thanks for popping in!

Bugaboo Oldie But Goodie

Welcome to another Bugaboo Oldie But Goodie Day!
FYI....an OBG is a Bugaboo image that is over 1 week old. I decided to use this beautiful Jaco Bird image that was calling my name. I also decided it was time to use some of my older DP. I need to start clearing it out so I have room for all the new CHA releases, as if I need to have more DP...LOL!! That seems to be one supply I keep buying and buying like I'm going to run out. How many DPs can one crafty girl have? I'm thinking as many as I want and can afford =0
Run on over to the Bug Blog to check out how the DT rocked the older images!
This card will be entered into the Lollipop Crafts Challenge (Pets).

Welcome to DeNami Product Day!
Today we are using one of the new release images- Apple Basket. I adore this new image! I've always wanted to have an apple basket stamp and now I have one...Yeah!
I decided to make the basket a different color and went a bit "peachy" with it. For some reason I felt plaid paper would work perfect with this image. I think it gave it more of a country feel.

DeNami Blog Hop

Welcome to the first DeNami Blog Hop!!
You should be coming from Heather's Blog. If not or if you get lost, you will want to start at the beginning HERE.
To play along all you have to do is leave comments on each blog you hop to. We will be giving away three, yes three $20 gift cards to the DeNami store. You need to hurry because you only have 2 days to leave comments. The prizes will be announced on Aug 17th on the DeNami Blog.
We also have a special treat for you, we have three special guests that are playing along today. Ashley Cannon Newell, Heather Pulvirenti, and Sarah Martina Parker. Can you say Yay again =) I'm so excited to even be listed with them.
Today we are showing you cards that are made with Polka Dots. I love circles so this challenge was right up my alley. I wanted my main image to be filled with circles and this is what I came up with. I tried to leave the background a bit plan because the circles in the middle are so bold. If you can't see in the picture, I added glitter around the inside edge of the frame.
You will be heading to JoAnn's Blog next.
Thanks for playing in the Hop with us!

Bugaboo Back to School and Primary Color Challenge

Welcome to another Bugaboo Challenge!
As everyone (including me) heads back to school this month, we thought we would give you an easy challenge. A Back to School theme and primary color challenge, easy enough, right?
I had the idea to do this pencil holder right out of the gate. School supplies are in great supply this month and pencil are no exception, so I just couldn't resist to make this pencil holder I saw at Laurie Schmidlin's Blog a couple of years ago. Now I'm not much of a pattern girl, but this was SUPER easy! I know templates can be a bit intimidating, but I promise, if you can read a ruler this IS super easy. This cute little Boy with Glasses Topper Digi stamp was a perfect fit for this template.
Run on over to the Bug Blog to see how the DT rocked this fun challenge!
This will be entered into the Our Creative Corner Challenge (Back to School)
Thanks for stopping in!

Bugaboo New Release

HI there!
Welcome to another Bugaboo New Release Day.
Today Jodie is giving us a cute little Rose Bear collection. I just love the little roses in this bear's hat. I know most roses are not blue but I wanted them to match the roses in the DP. I didn't know if I was going to like the brown of the bear against the green and blue of the DP, but I think it pops from the paper quite well.

I'm starting to notice my creative process working a bit different these days. I seem to be picking out my DP first and then trying to match my Copic markers to the DP, funny how creativity change over time.

You will want to stop by the Bugaboo Blog (Catch the Bug) to see what the rest of the DT did with this little cutie!

This will be entered into the Creative Card Crew Challenge (Girly)

Stamps: Rose Bear (Bugaboo), Sentiment (Stampendous)
Ink: Black Computer, Night of Navy (SU) Copic Markers: E35, 33, 31, 29, 25, B97, 93, 91, G40, 21, YG67, 63
Paper: White (N), Night of Navy (SU), DP: Basic Grey

DeNami Day- Product Glitter

Happy Thursday and welcome to our DeNami featured product- Glitter.
I loved making warm fuzzies in school! Did anyone else do this? We made ours out of yarn and then we gave them to our friends saying I just gave you a warm fuzzy. I had so much fun doing this in grade school and for some reason it left an impression on my life =) I remembering sitting and making so many of these I had no where to put them all. I guess I had the crafty bug back then too.
So the point of this card is....
I got the idea to make a "warm fuzzy" out of this little chic. I know it's not yarn, but it's my modern day version of a warm fuzzy. If you can't tell in the picture, but I added glitter to the chic and the background circle edges. I also made the sentiment out of a word document.
Run over to the DeNami Blog to see the wonderful creations the DT came up with for this product challenge.
Thanks for stopping by!

Stamps: Large Chic (DeNami)

CHA Pictures

Here are my pictures from CHA.
Going back through them I realized I didn't get enough =) I did talk with some "famous" stamping divas, but didn't get pictures of them....what was I thinking? I was a bit nervous asking them for a picture =)

This is my roomie, travel buddy and sweetest stamping friend Maria. Her Birthday is tomorrow, stop by and give her some B-day love. I had a blast hanging out with her!!
Thanks Maria for the super fab time!!!

This is my friend Lynn. We have been online and blogging buddies for a couple of years now. I was so surprised to hear she was going to CHA and couldn't wait to meet her. She is just as sweet in person as she is online.
Nice to finally meet you Lynn!!!

Next up is my fellow DeNami DT member Laurie. She had I hit it off right away! She said it felt like we have known each other for years and I totally agree with her!
I had a great time getting to know you in person Laurie!!!

This is my long time friend Kelly. She and I meet a couple years ago on PCP and we have been chatting ever since. She is a wonderful person to be around! She is also on the Ippity DT with my friend Maria so I got to hang with her more than I imagined I would.
Kelly thanks so much for making me feel part of the group!!

I had the pleasure of meeting and rooming with Katie Cotton (right) owner of Paper Make Up Stamps and her friend Ginger. They were super sweet girls!
Thanks for the laughs girls! I had a blast with you!

This is my new friend Karen. She is also on the Ippity DT. She is very sweet and I'm glad I got the chance to meet her!

This is the Unity/Ippity group. We all had dinner at a Mexican Restaurant called Maria's. Yes, we laughed at the name being the same as DT member Maria. Angela's husband Chris keep singing the My Maria song to her and we all had some good laughs about it!
On the right hand side of the table are my new friends Deb Felts and Jeanne Streiff.

More of the dinner table including Angela, her husband Chris, Eryn and Michelle.

This is me with the Ippity and Unity Chics. Oh and some "famous" Scrapbookers Cristal Hobbs and Shemaine Smith. What an amazing picture of all of us taken by Meren Benedict. This was one of the best nights!

AND...I saved the best picture for last.....this is me with Susan Opel. She is the Editor of Paper Crafts Magazine. Can you see how nervous I am in this picture? I look like a kid in a candy store. I'm with the famous one, I'm with the famous one...LOL!! She is amazing in person! So down to earth and sweet! I also got to met Cath from the Moxie Fab World at the same time. But I was having nervous hot flashes and forgot to get my picture with her =0
Thanks to all who made this weekend super special for me! I will cherish these friendships!!
