Bugaboo Tutorial

HI all, I'm back from vacation and here with my Bugaboo Tutorial!
I have gotten a ton of emails and comments here on my blog about the paper flowers I've been making and adding to my cards. I did post the YouTube video where I learned how to make them, but thought I would post a tutorial on my blog with pictures too. I know people learn by different techniques.
Please bare with me as I have never done a tutorial before! If you have any questions following, just send me an email =)

STEP 1: CUT OUT FLOWERS
I used the Cuttlebug Flower Die Cuts, although you can use punches too. If you want to add embellishments to the flower petals you will need to do so at this time. In the past I have added white gel pen dots to the petals. You can see it HERE You can use the same color of card stock, different colors like I have, you can stamp on card stock and cut it out or use DP. All of these options look great!
I always get the question about how many layers of paper to use. In the YouTube video (HERE), Dawn used 6 layers. I usually use 4 layers because of my heavier card stock. I really think it depend on what look you are going for.

STEP TWO: PAPER PIERCE THROUGH CENTER OF ALL FLOWERS
Put your Piercing tool in the center of all the flowers and pierce all the way through, up to the top of the tool.

STEP THREE: ADD A BRAD
At this point you will need to decided if you want to leave the brad exposed or cover it up with a button. You should choose a brad based on this decision. If you want to cover it up, you can use a plain brad. In this case I have chosen to keep the brad exposed so I used a more decorative brad. HERE  I have used the same technique. In the card I posted above, you can see I covered the brad with a button. You can do so with a glue dot.

STEP FOUR: START FOLDING TOP LAYER
Please don't look at my unpolished nails, I've never been one for getting my nails done. I guess I'm sort of a Tomboy when it comes to my hands.
Just lifting up the top layer, start folding and crinkling up this layer toward the brad.

STEP FIVE: START FOLDING SECOND LAYERS and BEYOND...
Repeat step four and continue for the next 2 layers.

STEP SIX: END RESULT!
At this time, if you are not happy with how the crinkles look or want more, just go back and repeat the whole process. Now just add the flower to your card. It is that easy!
WARNING....these may become addictive!!! =)
Here is the finished card again...
